David Steefel

I enjoy painting landscapes. I endeavor to capture light and shadows and their effect on color. I work in oil. My landscapes are primarily from Colorado (where I live), Minnesota (where I have a summer cabin on an island), and California (where I visit as often as I can). I paint in my studio, usually from reference photos I have taken.

I currently have a painting in a show at the Watermark Art Center in Bemidji, Minnesota. My paintings also have been included in juried All Colorado Art Shows at Curtis Art Center in Greenwood Village, Colorado. In 2019 I won first and second place in the Denver Bar Association Arts Contest.
